Phuket Marine Biological Center (PMBC) was established on October 16, 1968 as a result of co-operation between the governments of Thailand and Denmark. Its objectives are to carry out research with regard to marine science and to promote training and education of students and scientists. The PMBC is divided into 7 subdivisions with the following staff:
