Beach of Thailand

Beach is an area laid between the edges of the coast to the level at low tide along the coast, consisting of different materials deposited. According to the surveys of beaches in Thailand, conducted by the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Planning with the Environmental Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University, found that there are 357 beaches distributed in 18 provinces. The 268 beaches are governed by the local administrations, while another 89 beaches are under the responsibility other governmental bodies such as the Department of National Parks, wildlife, and Plants Conservation, Royal Thai Navy, and others as shown in Table
