State of Marine and Coastal Water Quality in Thailand

The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources have surveyed the marine and coastal environment of Thailand during 2007-2011 in order to monitor the status and change of various ecosystems in coastal environment. The parameters include salinity, temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, suspended solid, nutrient, phytoplankton, coliform bacteria, and petroleum hydrocarbon. The environmental data on water quality during the past five years would be valuable in order to monitor the change and management of marine and coastal resources, can be concluded separating by each area as follows (Department of Marine and Coastal Resource, B.E. 2555b):
